Those of you (especially campgrounds) who have to comply with local councils will be able to take advantage of this new functionality.

The changes in this enhancement will allow iBex to consider a maximum number of pax per property and compare the number of people booking. Should the number of people booking exceed the number allowed on the property, the booking will be be declined.

If you would like to use this new functionality please contact support by emailing support@seekom.com

  1. Log into iBex as the master operator

  2. Go to Property Maintenance > Search/Maintain Properties

  3. Select the property by clicking on the blue ID

  4. On the Manage Property screen scroll down to the Max Pax field.

  5. Enter the maximum pax allowed and enable the feature.

There must be a max-pax value PLUS the checkbox must be set for the feature to be enabled.

  6. Save the property.

When enabled the Legacy Front Screens (LFS) and back-end bookings will not permit a new future booking if the additional pax (including infants) would cause the property max to be exceeded.

The Front booking screens test the restriction on the property page only after the user has entered their pax selections and requests the booking to proceed by clicking a “Book Now” or the “Next” button. There is no client-side integration meaning that simply changing pax selectors will not initiate the test.

When the restriction is exceeded a message will display details of the days that the user’s request cannot met.

Daily Max Pax Date Selection

Note that for long booking requests, a maximum of 12 days will be displayed in this message.

The system checks the property max-pax again at the time the booking is made. This is because other inventory could have been sold in the interim.

If the front booking screen limit is exceeded you will get one of the below messages and the booking will not be made:-

Payment Page

The Quick New Booking tests the restriction on pax being entered into the Adults, Children or Infants columns. When the restriction is exceeded the room type will appear red, if you hover over the room type a message will display details of the days that the user’s request cannot met. The booking is not able to proceed.

Please note If the checkout date is a past date then it will disregard the property max pax limit and will continue to proceed with the booking.

Quick New Booking

The New Booking tests the restriction on the Rooms tab only after the user has entered their pax selections, date, unit/room type and requests the booking to proceed by clicking  the “Accept” button.

When the restriction is exceeded a message will display details of the days that the user’s request cannot be met.

Please note if the checkout date is a past date then it will disregard the property max pax limit and will continue to proceed with the booking.
